We are a small family-owned and operated Western Australian company bringing over 50 years of experience in the optical industry.
Our approach to each of our patients is individualised. No “cookie-cutter” formula is ever used in our clinic, as we all have unique eye care needs.
EyeRims Optical incorporates what was formerly known as Forrestfield Optical Centre, Optik 2000, and For Sight 20/20 Port Kennedy. The faces are the same, only the names have changed. We are a small family owned and operated Western Australian company bringing over 50 years of experience in the optical industry to the people of Secret Harbour, Golden Bay, Singleton, Lakelands, Port Kennedy, and the entire Peel Region.
Being independently owned means that each and everyone who comes through our doors is treated as an individual.
There are no "cookie-cutter" formulae used when it comes to our clients.
Eye examinations are generally claimable from Medicare, and where possible these are direct billed to Medicare - leaving no out of pocket expense. We also electronically bill most health funds to limit your out of pocket expense on your new eyewear when selecting outside of our fully covered ranges.

The friendly face you see every day; Patricia is one half of the husband-and-wife team of EyeRims Optical. With a long history in optical dispensing and a longer history loving eyeglasses, Patricia knows how to find the frame that fits right and looks good too. She's your first point of contact when you have questions about glasses or booking an eye test, and she will gladly help you through your whole experience at EyeRims Optical. When she's not busy at work, she likes to sew, garden, and watch homesteading videos online.
The son of an optical lab owner, Dewey grew up in the optical business and will be celebrating his 50th year in the industry this year. Trained in the United States in everything from optical mechanics to optical dispensing to eye examinations, not to mention having owned 4 optical practices since moving to Australia, Dewey brings a lifetime of expertise to EyeRims Optical. When he's not at work, he likes fishing, taking walks, and relaxing to smooth jazz.
Raymond is our enthusiastic and friendly senior optometrist who brings 30 years of optometry experience to EyeRims Optical. Trained in England and practicing in Perth for 15 years, Raymond loves eyes and loves visiting with patients even more. He takes his advisory role in your eye care seriously, and you'll leave an eye exam with him well-informed and thoroughly attended to. He has a special interest myopia control and diabetic co-management with your GP and ophthalmologist, taking the extra time to examine these eyes beyond a general eye test. When he's not working, he likes a nice coffee, nature walks and soft jazz.
If you manage to catch her outside of study, you'll find Abigail working and developing her skills at EyeRims Optical. A graduate with a bachelor's degree in Neuroscience, a second-year Doctor of Optometry student at UWA and third-generation worker in the ophthalmic industry, Abigail is quickly developing new skills to both care for your eye health and keep the business fresh with new technologies and techniques, including an interest in dry eye therapy and myopia management. Enthusiastic to help with any customer queries, and always excited to look at new frames, Abigail spends most of her time talking about eyes - but when she's not, she enjoys drawing, crochet and 70s music.
